Topic: Wow

I just discovered your videos last night and I'm completely blown away. I've been playing and teaching for over 30 years and I've never seen anyone with such a natural feel for guitar. I've taught two virtuosos, but you completely blow them out of the water. Hell, you're doing things I can't even after all these years of playing and I used to sleep with my guitar. Literally. I'd fall asleep holding the thing and then wake up and start playing again.

There's only been a small handful of guitar players that have captivated me the way you have...Hendrix, Eddie VH, and Mathias Jabs. And now you.

I never let anyone touch my Les Paul, let alone desecrate it, but if you ever make it down towards Memphis I would be honored if you'd sign my guitar...maybe some of your magic will rub off.

Sorry about my disjointed message, I'm still a bit speechless after watching your performances.

Hey there, smile Thank you so much for your comment. It would be awesome to get a show out in Memphis! I'm looking forward to going smile It would be cool to see you play as well, and you can even teach me a few things, I am very open-minded smile It would be my pleasure to sign your guitar too smile Looking forward to seeing you in the near future, rock on! smile

Re: Wow

Trust me girl, the only thing I could teach you is bad habits I've developed over the years. You're a much better player than I am, you've got the gift I wish I had....it's all to apparent that your guitar is part of you.

I'm still amazed by your stage presence. When I played in a bar band back in the 80's (Big hair, lipstick, and earrings....Gah...embarrassing stuff) I had to be half in the tank before I went on stage. My band specialized in getting fired and banned from the bars we played at.

We weren't exactly professional.

I took a nose dive off the stage one evening (OK, I passed out while on my feet) onto the wood dance floor and destroyed my LP, not to mention the huge bruise it left on my chest. I don't remember any of it other then my baby was a pile of kindling. (I loved that Les Paul)

Enough story telling, you are going to make it this direction one of these days and I'm going to hold you to signing my guitar.

Re: Wow

Appreciate all the great compliments.  For all the reasons you list and so many more, is why I became Desi's fan club president.  Rock on and be sure to obtain a copy of Desiree's C.D.
Power and Force II.  It's the second edition of a killer original.  I'm confident you'll be blown away even further than you are now.  Take care and thanks so much for checking Desiree' out...

Re: Wow

I ordered the CD a few days ago from the link provided here, and I can't wait to hear it.

And for what it's worth I've been spreading her videos around to all my friends in the music community. They all know I never do something like that, but Desiree is a very special talent.

One interesting comment I got back was "Amazing. I also know Andy Aledort's kids, so it's cool to see his videos linked"

Re: Wow

TT88... have you seen the video of Desiree' and Andy playing together?  I assume you have because of the comment about the link.  Wasn't sure if you watched it though.  Very awesome!
Thanks for being a fan... "Da Prez".
